Weed Wrangle 2025

WEED WRANGLE 2025!!! 🌿
Thank you to our volunteers and City of Red Ban staff who donated their Saturday to help us take care of Stringers Branch!
What was once a kudzu and honeysuckle forest is now an amazing streadside ready for native planting. Did you know non-native plants have shallow root systems? They do a pretty terrible job of buffering a stream from Stormwater runoff and the pollutants it carries. 🌱Native roots help infiltrate Stormwater and strengthen banks against flood damage and provide better nourishment for wildlife.
Stay tuned for updates on our Stringers Branch!
