WaterWays

Summer Celebration

Students from the city’s Boys & Girls Clubs were able to visit the beautiful Booker T. Washington State Park to enjoy the outdoors while also chatting with some environmental professionals! WaterWays discussed the importance of clean water with a little help from some plastic bugs and rubber bait. Students were able to complete a model biotic index to learn how scientists will survey biodiversity in a freshwater system to determine water quality. We are so thankful we were invited to this event and hope to join again next year.
