Signal Mtn Library Day

Mayfly nymphs, salamanders, dragonfly nymphs, and snails from Mountain Creek, which is just down the mountain, came to visit the Signal Mountain Library. Our young scientists were stoked to observe their local critters, using their senses to guess what kind of adaptations serve each organism. Patrons learned about how these aniamls rely on clean water and how they can be good neighbors to our freshwater friends through simple everyday actions like turning off the water while brushing their teeth, disposing of their trash and recyclables, and helping their adults remember their reusable bags.
