Internships
● Update and maintain a social media presence
● Assist in planning, writing and managing TenneSEA’s Newsletter
● Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts, and other stories
● Design flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events
● Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
● Collect stream data once a month, additional per rain events
● Organize and analyze data with WaterWays staff
● Help develop remediation plans and projects
● Assist in other current research projects, when applicable
● Communicate with and engage the community at outreach events
● Facilitate hands-on, experiential science education for students
● Provide feedback on lesson success and suggestions for improvement
● Work with TenneSEA staff to develop programs, curriculum, materials, and other
educational resources
● Communicate with and engage the community at outreach events
Eligibility & Requirements
● Current student in good standing at an institution of higher education
● GPA of 2.5 or higher
● Dedicates at least 2 hours per week
Compensation: Due to the nature of our work, compensation may or may not be available to support internships. We take applications on a rolling basis and will let all applicants know about the possibility of funding at the time.
